Ongoing Groups

Do you share an interest with any of the groups listed below?  These groups are currently open to new members, or those who want to visit once or twice to try them out. Please do!

Active Outdoor

  • Adopt a Plot – select a small area on the grounds of the Fellowship to design, plant and maintain. Contact Fred Leissler for more

Handy Person

  • Our buildings, grounds and infrastructure offer fix-up and enhance opportunities for all skill levels.  Contact Dennis Conly.

Food and Fellowship

  • Circle Dinners – share camaraderie and dinner with a small group of members and visitors in a member’s home. Each brings a dish. Sign up sheets are on the wall rack as you enter the Gathering Room or contact Rosalind Bedell.
  • Pot luck Dinners or Brunches – no set times for these, but often once a month. Each member brings a dish. Sign up usually in the gathering room. And check the weekly announcements for info too. Contact the Office for more information:

Helping Others

  • Caring Committee – one time or ongoing assistance for members who are in need of some assistance such as hospital visiting, transportation, meal preparation. Contact Lois Bianchi. See also this page.

Musical Talents

  • You KNOW you want to sing. Come join the choir, one of the best opportunities to learn to sing. Bill Quinby and the UUFNN choir welcomes you to give it a try and come out for this audition-free chance to make music. We welcome more of all voices. Rehearsals Monday night are productive and result in satisfying music created for Sunday morning worship.

Providing Radical Hospitality

  • Greeter – volunteer to be at the door to the fellowship on Sunday am before and after Sunday Service to welcome, greet and answer questions. Training provided. For more information contact Janet Ford

Protecting The Environment

  • Green Sanctuary – to reduce the carbon footprint of the UUFNN, we're working on small and large environmental projects.   You  can get involved for a few hours, a day or longer.  Contact the Office for more information.

Thinking and Discussion

  • The Book Club will meets the first Friday each month at 11:30 to 12:30 in the Maynard Room.

Special Interest Groups

  • Silver Dawn Chapter of CUUPS – Coven of Unitarian Universalist Pagans - activities (how often and when?). How does one find out where they meet? Contact Stephie Michaels for more information.
  • Explore Art – visual artists' work is displayed in curated shows that are hung in the UUFNN’s “Vision Place” art gallery. Contact Julie Sulahria for more information.
